[Wargaming] Venusian Myconids
Back in April I blogged about some 15mm VSF terrain that was on the paintingtable.
Today I finished painting the inhabitants of that particular biome;
The Myconids.
I put about 15 hours into painting the army, which is pretty slow on my part. Not surprised, as I haven't been putting paint on brush since.. Well, forever, it feels like. Had to scroll a fair bit in the media library to find a few pics of the previous models I finished early August.
I have however been painting some terrain for Turnip28 before these, probably making a post about that in the future.
First up, some shooty types. I did print 20 more of these for some reason. The whole project was supposed to be around 25 models all in all, but I got carried away. They are around 21mm tall and even then I scaled them down a bit before printing as they were to big for my taste, even tho they are supposed to be huge compared to the alien invaders (ie. humans).

I don't really know what to call these things..
A couple weaponplatforms, some flying brains and some brainworms.
I'm thinking everything is a different stage of the lifecycle that ends up being the weaponplatform-creature.

To round the shrooms out, here are the Mushinators (heh) and a couple of bosstypes that probably always will have some kind of psycic powers. Because staffs. Right?

The whole lot as it sits in the cabinet until used.

Not by any means a boring project, but quite rather the opposite.
While the melee-types and weaponplatforms are a bit "flat" on top of the caps, that´s pretty much the only complaint I had. A very relaxing and carefree painting-project.
Everything is sculpted by Arian Croft of Ill Gotten Games/Dutch Mogul fame and are available for free on Thingiverse.
My resinprinter is dead, long live etc. When I get a new one, I will add the Branar Lasher as a centerpiece.
