[Wargaming] Decluttering and plans for now.

It's been really slow going with hobbies the past few months. Yikes, it's true that time flies when other things take up your waking hours.
We gotta make due with the hand we are dealt and for me it meant that needed to declutter the paintingcorner of my (admittedly huge) office table.
Stuff tends to pile up, doesn't it?

I realise I should have snapped a "before" picture to score some extra internet-points, but all in all I cleared away stuff before I sculpted (and printed) 2 new holders for my Ikea Skadis panel. I mainly needed a new one for my airbrush color bottles and a spraybottle of alcohol as the old holder just had room for 3 bottles. FYI it´s not IPA in the sprayer (which is pretty bad to breathe in as an aerosol) but pure old high proof ethanol. Popcorn Sutton would be proud.
The other holder is a modded version of the same shelves I have for the Citadel-paints. It now can hold my big Liquitex inkbottles, Vallejo paste and an dripper. Again full of alcohol, perfect for basing miniatures.

People in the know knows. For the rest of you;
High proof alcohol breaks surfacetension, so it's really great to splash on a couple of drops when using a PVA->sand/flock/loose-bits approach to basing miniatures. Essentially it helps the dry layer to soak up the PVA and it sticks way better.
Can highly recommend.

Desk1

This is the layout I decided to go with for now. As always kerfuffling will be done when needed and it turns out I want the shelves in other spots.

Desk2

And a picture with the lamps in their ready-position.

In other not-so-exciting-news I updated my list of ongoing and upcoming projects.

To sculpt and print:
Skythian heavy cavalry. (3D conversions of existing models really.)
Fighter-Jets for CWGH Baltics. (Need to design stands.)
Royal Navy for the Battle of the Mediterranian.

Design and print/laminate:
Nametags for my painted Regia Marina.
Nametags for my (finally!) finished Strength & Honor 1.5mm armies.
Terrain-cards, scenario-cards etc. for 2x2 Napoleonics.

Terrainbuilds:
15mm marshlands.
2mm plowed fields.
3x5' gridded mat.

On the homestretch:
15mm Russians for CoC/DH2. (Basing, touchups and a few support-opions.)
10mm Chaos Marauders. (About halfway painted.)
28mm Feyelves. (Decided to paint the last remaining models as I did the blogpost on them. Need bases and a few highlights.)
28mm Shieldmaiden. (Svala by Bad Squiddo, been sitting on a painthandle for a year..)

Ongoing but no real rush:
10mm Chaos for DBF/Warhamster. (Need more random stuff for the army I'm working on.)
15mm Teutonic Order. (All painted, but should rebase and refurbish them a bit. Maybe base for Midgard?)
2mm Napoleonics. (More troops and nations for 2x2 Nap.)
Woodblocks for Kriegspiel. (More is More.) About 6-10 of the other projects on the shelves...

Pipeline of short projects:
15mm Deutsche Ost Afrika. (Great War and VSF, waiting on PP heads for conversions.)
15mm Norwegians for WW2. (Waiting on PP models.)
3mm Bronze Age armies. (Probably in S&H basing.)

6/10mm Middle Earth looks mighty interesting due to some awesome free armies being posted on Thingiverse, but it depends on the gaminggroup if I start one.

This was mot a particularly exciting blogpost, but as I enjoy looking at others paintingtables and hobbyspaces, I decided to blog mine at it's current state.

I have lately built some 2mm wheatfields, painted the rest of my Strength & Honor troops and made some custom acrylic-caulking roads. Maybe I should take more pictures of that kinda stuff.. hmmmm
