[Wargaming] Gangs for OPR:Skirmish
Thought I'd slowly start uploading things from my old blogs and why not start a off with handful of pictures that was the first post on the wargaming-blog I used to run. These are two of my 28mm skirmish-gangs for (primarily) One Page Rules: Skirmish.
The first is an undead force, more towards 32mm than the "original heroic scale", consisting of sculpts by Artisan Guild. There are more sculpts available in Horrors of Rodburg Barrows, but I figured ~300 pts is a good number for a gang so never got around to print and paint more of them.

I went for a more dried leather look than what is the norm for undeads, and while they kinda came out a but to dark, I like the contrast between the main colors in the scheme.
Closer look on the characters and big 'un.
The second gang is a woodland-fey-ish mix of some elves, a deer-sister and some woodspirits. The models are a hodgepodge from several sculptors found on MMF, mainly chosen by my partner who wanted to play fey.
These models were an experiment with drybrushed zenithals, white on black. They have a grainy look to them, I was learning the ropes and in short produced that oldschool chalky 90s drybryshlook on them. I gotta say they are among my fav models to look at in the cubbard as they remind me alot of the Ben Day Dot-printed comics I read growing up.
Closer look. The keen observer can clearly see that the deer-sister misses one hand. This is because I used a low-end resin at this point in time, and it simply snapped off during handling [heh]
